Supporting Newcomer Children and Families (New & Updated)
Enjoy 1 hour of professional development in this self-paced online workshop for Early Childhood Educators and Child Care Professionals.
We can’t always know what adversity children and families have faced in the past or currently face in their daily lives.
In this workshop, participants will be asked to think about newcomer families, immigrant, and refugee families, to think about how we support each of these families best. In this worksop participants will:
- How to support children who experience stress, adversity and trauma
- Think about the child's perspective, navigating a new world.
- Get strategies to minimize cultural misunderstandings and enhance cultural awareness.
