September 20, 2022- 6:30pm-8:00pm PST (1.5 hours)
Identifying Behaviours to Help Guide Positive Peer Interactions
In this workshop we will discuss identifying behaviour as communication, how Educators influence peer interactions, how to invite and guide social interactions, and finally the benefits of children teaching children. We as Educators play such an important role in prosocial learning and are able to help children develop strong relationship building skills that they can nurture for the rest of their lives. The goal of this workshop is to help Educators begin to think about how they can shift their practice to support a child who may be having difficulty in their peer interactions.
Audience: This workshop is geared toward supporting educators who work with children who are aged 2.5-6.
