From Burnout to Balance: Supporting Staff Well-Being and Retention in ECE
Enjoy 1 hour of professional development in this self-paced online workshop for Early Childhood Educators and Child Care Professionals.
From Burnout to Balance: Staff Well-Being and Retention in Early Childhood Development explores why burnout is so prevalent in the early childhood sector—and, more importantly, what can be done about it.
Designed for early childhood educators, leaders, and administrators, this one-hour webinar examines burnout as an occupational phenomenon shaped by emotional labour, workload, and systemic pressures. Through a relatable case study, participants learn how burnout develops over time, how to recognize early warning signs in themselves and others, and why values misalignment is a key driver of exhaustion and disengagement.
The session offers practical, evidence-informed strategies to support educator well-being and retention, including root-cause analysis using the “5 Whys,” micro practices for daily reset, environmental practices that reduce decision fatigue, and prioritization tools. Participants are also guided through reflective exercises to reconnect with purpose and make small, meaningful commitments that support long-term sustainability in the field.
This webinar emphasizes that supporting educator well-being is not about individual resilience alone; it requires intentional workplace practices and leadership support. Participants leave with concrete tools, renewed perspective, and actionable next steps to help move from burnout toward balance.
