Workshop Description

In this workshop, educators will learn about the types of racial and cultural micro-aggressions they might face in the workplace. In this workshop, educators will also think about different examples of racial and cultural micro-aggressions that would lead to a discussion, activities and reflection based on real-life experiences. This workshop can be helpful for educators as it will support them with different strategies and a self-test to address micro-aggression in the workplace. The facilitator is located in ON, Canada.

PLEASE NOTE: This is a recording from the Online Summit June 2023. You will have access to the workshop immediately after registering for it, and be able to obtain a Completion Certificate after watching the entire workshop.

LIMITED TIME OPPORTUNITY: This will be leaving our collection in June 2025.

Audience: This workshop is geared toward supporting educators who work with children who are aged 2.5-6.

About the Instructor

HBECL, RECE & Workshop Facilitator Lobna Ajaini

My name is Lobna Ajaini. I am an Early Childhood Leader (ECL) with Honours Bachelor of Early Childhood Leadership Degree (HBECL) and a registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE) from Sheridan College, ON, Canada with more than 10 years of experience in the ECE field. I switched my career path from Engineering to Early Childhood Education to follow my interest in working with children and families! 2022 Sheridan College Honours Bachelor of Early Childhood Research Award Winner about Forest school, the 2019 PLASP Sylvia Leal Leadership Award Winner and the 2016 Sheridan College Davis Campus Commemorative Award Recipient. I previously worked as a Montessori French teacher, and I currently work as a Family Support Facilitator at EarlyON Child/Family Centre and a before/after school PLASP program Director in Region of Peel, Ontario. I am a global citizen who is highly interested in cultural awareness and humanitarian and environmental community projects. My hobbies are running, songwriting and Zumba.

  • Can I get a refund or credit after purchase?

    No refund or credit is provided once the workshop is purchased. It is up to the participant to go through the material at their own pace. If you are unsatisfied with the material please contact the instructor directly.

  • Will I get a certificate of completion?

    Yes, certificates will be available automatically upon completion of the workshop. We keep record and track participation of all who register.

  • How do I replace a lost certificate?

    Remember to download your certificate and any resources. If you lose your certificate, just contact us and we provide you with a new one.

  • Will this professional development be accepted by the ECE registry in my province or state?

    Ultimately it is up to the participant to ensure this workshop would be accepted by the ECE authority in their province or state. Each certificate of completion will include our contact information so that we can support educators to get their professional development hours. PLEASE COMPLETE ALL MATERIALS IN FULL. You must complete all the materials in full and answer all questions so that we can ethically verify your certificate with any ECE registry.
